How It Works

Not all boudoir photographers are equal, see how my process sets your experience apart.

Whether this is your first boudoir session or you have done this before, my process is designed to make the whole thing feel clear, guided, and a lot less intimidating than whatever version your brain has been building up at 11 PM.

From choosing your date to figuring out outfits, getting posed from head to toe, seeing your images, and deciding what you want to keep, I’ll walk you through each step.

Your job is not to arrive confident, perfectly prepared, or magically comfortable in front of a camera.

Your job is to show up. I’ll help with the rest.

  • 1. Send an Inquiry or Choose Your Date

This is where we get the process started.

You can fill out my contact form if you want to ask questions, check availability, talk through packages, or make sure a boudoir session feels like the right fit before booking.

Already know you’re ready? You can also head straight to the scheduling page and choose your date.

  • 2. Book Your Session

Once you’re ready, we’ll get your session officially on the calendar.

Boudoir sessions are available Thursday through Saturday and begin at 9 AM at my private studio in Downtown Bay City. I only book one session per day because this is not the kind of experience I want to rush.

After your booking request comes through, I’ll send your contract and invoice within 48 hours so you can officially reserve your date.

  • 3. Fill Out Your Pre-Shoot Questionnaire

Before your session, you’ll receive a pre-shoot questionnaire so I can get to know what you’re comfortable with, what you’re excited about, and what you absolutely do not want. This helps me plan your session around you.

It'll cover things like your comfort level, boundaries, outfit preferences, favorite features, insecurities, and the overall mood you’re drawn to.

The questionnaire helps make sure you are not walking into the studio feeling like everything is a mystery. It gives us a starting point, and it gives me the information I need to make your session feel more personal, comfortable, and intentional.

  • 4. Get Your Prep Info

Leading up to your session, you’ll receive prep information emails so you are not left wondering what the hell you’re supposed to do next.

These include guidance on what to wear, what to bring, how to use the client closet, how to prep your skin, what to expect at the studio, and how to make the day feel as smooth as possible.

They'll also talk through the mental side of boudoir, because yes, the outfits matter, but so do the nerves. The prep info is there to help you feel ready enough, not obsessively overprepared.

  • 5. Session Day

Your session day starts at my private Downtown Bay City studio. If your package includes professional hair and makeup, we’ll begin there so you have time to settle in, relax, and ease into the day before we start shooting.

Then we’ll go through outfits, pull from the client closet if needed, talk through the plan, and start creating.

I’ll guide you through every pose, expression, angle, hand placement, hair adjustment, and tiny detail that makes the image work.

Your job is to breathe, trust the process, and occasionally laugh at the ridiculous things I say while trying to get your face to relax.

  • 6. Same-Day Reveal and Ordering Appointment

After we finish shooting, I’ll send you off for a little break while I go through your images.

You can grab lunch in downtown Bay City, take a breather, or bring your own lunch and relax in the building’s break room if you’d rather not go anywhere. I’ll spend about an hour culling through your photos and narrowing everything down before your reveal.

When you come back, we’ll look through your unedited images together and choose your final favorites.

This is when you’ll decide which images you want me to fully edit, and whether you want to add any products like an album, wall art, prints, or additional digital images.

You do not have to make those decisions alone, and you do not have to know what you want before you see the images. I’ll walk you through the options, help you compare favorites, and make the ordering process feel as simple as possible.

Basically, you get to see the “holy shit, that’s me” part before you even leave the studio.

  • 7. Image Delivery

Your fully edited digital images will be delivered through your private online gallery within 14 business days after your session.

You’ll be able to download your final digital files from there, and if you ordered any print products, I’ll also send proofs for approval before those are ordered.

Albums, wall art, prints, and other products are not sent to print until you have approved the proof, because nobody needs a surprise typo, weird crop, or “wait, not that one” moment living forever in an album.

One important note: if you choose a payment plan for print products or additional purchases, digital downloads will become available once that payment plan is completed.

  • 8. Download and Share (or Keep it Private!)

Once your final gallery is delivered, you can download your images and decide what happens from there. Share them with someone special. Keep them entirely for yourself. Print them. Make an album. Save them somewhere private and open them whenever you need the reminder.

Your images are never shared on my website, portfolio, social media, or marketing materials without your written permission. You choose your privacy level, and keeping everything private is always an option.

Your comfort and consent matter more than content. Always.

  • 9. Feel Like the Badass Babe You Are

This is the part where you leave with proof that you did something that probably felt scary at first. Proof that you showed up before you felt fully ready. Proof that you can be nervous, awkward, unsure, overthinking every little thing, and still be photographed with care.

Boudoir does not magically fix every insecurity. But it can give you a different way to see yourself.

And sometimes that shift follows you out of the studio in ways you were not expecting.

  • 10. Leave a Stellar Review

After your session, your review helps more than you probably realize. A lot of clients read reviews before they ever reach out because they want to know what the experience actually feels like from someone who has done it. They want to know if it was comfortable. If the nerves settled. If the posing was really guided. If they felt safe.

    If it was worth it.

Your words can help the next nervous person decide that maybe they can do this too.

So if you loved your experience, I am always incredibly grateful for Google reviews.

There's no need to write a novel. But, I will read every word like it is a tiny emotional support document.

Ready to Get Started?

Feeling curious? Nervous? Weirdly excited? Already mentally picking outfits even though you swear you are “just looking”? Perfect. Very normal.

Your boudoir session is not just showing up, taking a few photos, and hoping for the best. It is a guided experience from the moment you reach out to the moment your final images are delivered.

And yes, the butterflies are allowed to come with you.

Use my inquiry form if you want to ask questions, check availability, talk through options, or make sure this feels like the right fit before booking.

Ready to choose your date? You can do that too.
